“Bootlegging on Lake Ontario during Prohibition”

The Marine History Group of the Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse Historical Society met on Saturday, 2/12/11, and H. Dwight Bliss III discussed his newest book “Bootlegging on Lake Ontario During Prohibition.” The capacity crowd listened to Dwight talked about the bootlegging from Sodus to Oak Orchard, NY, during prohibition, 1920-1933. He recounted the lives of the Staud brothers of Monroe County, who engaged in bootlegging during the Prohibition.
